Introduction and Purpose
Safety works best as a shared responsibility. Netthub provides account, moderation, reporting and blocking tools, while members should remain thoughtful about what they share and how they move a connection offline.
Technical Security
Connections and messages
When Netthub is served over HTTPS, TLS protects information while it travels between your browser and the service. This is transport encryption, not a claim that member messages are end-to-end encrypted. Check that your browser shows a secure connection before entering sensitive information.
Account and administrative controls
The application uses authenticated sessions, request validation, rate limits and role or permission checks for protected functions. These controls reduce particular risks but do not make an account or service completely secure.
Infrastructure limits
The public application code does not establish production firewall, operating-system hardening, encrypted-backup, recovery-testing or universal access-logging practices. Netthub therefore does not rely on those claims on this page.
Ensuring User Safety
Email and profile setup
A one-time code verifies access to the email address used to register. Mobile numbers are collected but are not currently verified. Profile setup requires at least two photographs and checks the date of birth supplied by the member.
Photo moderation
Uploaded profile photographs remain pending until an authorised administrator approves them for public display. Photo approval does not verify every profile, identity, intention or background. Netthub does not conduct universal identity or criminal-background checks.
Duplicates, location and profile changes
Registration enforces a unique email address. The current flow does not substantiate universal duplicate-IP, duplicate-mobile or duplicate-username prevention, geofencing, restricted-country blocking or Australia-only eligibility. Some profile attributes are read-only in self-service editing and require support assistance to change.
Reports and account action
Members can submit reports and block unwanted contact. A submitted report is recorded and an administrator is notified; review timing and outcomes depend on the available information. Conduct that breaches the Terms may lead to restricted access, suspension or account closure.
Secure Communication
Protect account information
Do not share passwords, one-time codes, financial details or identity documents in messages. Be cautious if someone pressures you to leave the service quickly or discourages you from checking their story.
Video calling
Netthub video calling is currently unavailable, so it should not be treated as an active identity or safety measure. No claim is made that video conversations receive AI moderation or continuous human monitoring.
Blocking and evidence
Use the block control when you do not want further contact. If you report concerning conduct, retain relevant messages or screenshots where it is safe to do so, but do not continue an unsafe conversation merely to collect evidence.
Payments and Billing
Use the official checkout
Pay only through the checkout presented by Netthub. Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or banking credentials to another member, even when a request sounds urgent or personal.
Payment information
Checkout may ask for billing and payment information and involve a payment provider. How financial information may be collected, used or shared is described in the Privacy Policy. Netthub does not make an unsupported promise here about storage of full card details.
Subscriptions
Review the price, billing period, renewal information and cancellation terms shown at checkout and in the Terms of Use before purchasing.
Privacy and Data Use
Information and visibility
Netthub collects profile, contact, usage and other information needed to operate the service. Some profile information is visible to other members, while contact details and full date of birth have more limited visibility. Privacy controls do not make all information private until you choose to share it.
Use, disclosure and retention
Personal information may be used, disclosed and retained for the purposes and periods described in the Privacy Policy, including service delivery, safety, legal and dispute-related purposes. Read that policy before providing information you consider sensitive.
Safer Online Dating Tips
Take your time
Keep early conversations on the service while you assess consistency. Be wary of urgent money requests, rapidly escalating intimacy, requests for verification codes or pressure to reveal private information.
Meet with a plan
For an initial meeting, choose a public place, arrange independent transport, tell a trusted person where you will be and keep control of when you leave. You can end a meeting or conversation at any time.
Trust behaviour, not badges
An approved photograph or verified email is only one piece of information. Pay attention to whether the person respects boundaries, accepts “no”, communicates consistently and allows you to proceed at a comfortable pace.
Contact and Emergency Help
Contact Netthub
For a safety, privacy or account concern, use the reporting feature where available or email support@netthub.com with a concise description. You can also use the Contact page; a report does not guarantee a particular response time or outcome.
Contact page
For general support options, visit the Contact page. Do not email passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary identity documents.
Immediate danger
Netthub is not an emergency service and does not continuously monitor member activity. If someone is in immediate danger in Australia, call 000. If you are elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.
